All the programs offered at Louise Noel's Dance & Gymnastics have a syllibi/curriculum in place so that their is continuity and logical progression in the technique from year to year. This curriculum also helps to keep your child save and injury free by not giving them skills that their muscles and bones can't handle.

Pre-Ballet Program & Pre-Tap
This class uses rhythm, space and shape to explore different forms of movement. Body placement and correct stretching are emphasized through imagery. The class goal is to develop strength, flexibility, grace, coordination and musicality through enjoyable and easily understood methods for children of this age.
Combo classes consist of 2 different techniques being taught within one time frame. These classes are specially geared to pre-schoolers and kindergarten children. Please check the techniques to see what your specific combo class will include.
Lyrical is offered to students 9 and over unless they are in a performance class. Lyric combines the grace of ballet, strength, flexibility and jazz styloes. It is used to intepret the lyrics,mood and feeling of the music.
Intro-Ballet (Ages 5-7)
This class works on Correct Body placement and simple exercises while standing at the barre. Use of ballet positions and french terminology, stretching for strength and flexibility are included. Beginning center work is introduced.
Ballet Level 1 & up
Checchetti technique is used. This creates very clean body lines for young children and easily learned steps. Students above level 5 are introducded to other styles as well to create a well rounded dancer. Elementary exercises are introduced at the barre, center and moving across the floor. Each level becomes more complex while building upon the previous levels material. Proper terminology is used, body placement and correct execution is strongly emphasized. Steps are developed into combinations using directional changes, rhythmic changes and arm and head co-ordination. A sense of discipline emerges along with the intellectual and physical work in these classes. The goal is to produce a student with strong technique and good performing skills. Skills that carry over into school work and other challenges in life.
Tap emphasises the clarity of sound , correct precision and speed while musically combining all of these. Traditional tap along with current styles are taught.
Jazz technique works in parrallel position allowing for more freedom in body movements. It uses isolations along with strength, flexibility and various jazz styles. The jazz styles that are introduced are classical, funk and theatre.
Modern dance training is built around support, center, energy, off center balances and contractions. A blend of Martha Graham, Jose Limone and Horton technique ar taught in this class.
Acro is for the student who wants to learn basic to advanced tumbling skills and Acrobatic lifts. This class works on body conditioning, strength and flexibility skills.
Hip Hop is an energized street dance. It is seen in many different venues today from MTV, Rap Music and Funk Styles. Age appropriate music and styles are incorporated in these classes.
This class is a continuation of ballet with a 2nd seperate ballet class a week focusing on the development of specific muscle groups need for pointe work. Pre-point shoes are needed for this class.
Students must take ballet at least 2 times a week. They begin with simple exercises at the barre and proceed to a full range of steps on pointe in the advanced level. Students must be at least 12 yrs old and be on a proper technical level to keep bones and joints safe.
Students must be at least 10. This class is for the student with a flair for dramatics. Jazz technique is used combined with acting to develop stage presence and confidence. Come and have some fun with us!
